It’s nice to meet you!

About Christine

Christine is dedicated to helping people streamline their lives so they can focus on the stuff of life (and not their stuff).

My story

A proud native Michigander, I founded Oh So Simple with an idea, a passion, and a penchant for adventure.

I discovered the delight of quiet adventure after my freshman year of college. With little internal direction on “what I wanted to be when I grew up,” an image in my chemistry textbook caught my eye. It was the hot springs at Yellowstone National Park, and I was amazed and delighted to know that such an otherworldly spectacle exists on Earth. And with a little determination I could experience it firsthand.

That summer, with no travel under my belt and no experience on my own, I packed up my Ford Escort and headed west. And with my first grand adventure, the seed of wanderlust was planted, and my most cherished lesson of experience over things took root.

What's your adventure?

My quest for rich experience has drawn me to 40+ states, 20 national parks, and 10+ countries (and counting), and full circle to Ann Arbor, Michigan. It has inspired me to acquire an advanced degree in ecology, perform research at a major university and federal agency for 15+ years, and teach college for 10+ years. (And somewhere in there I took a breath, got married, and had three kids!) More recently, it has inspired me to shift focus, pursue entrepreneurship, and train as an coach, organizer, and mindfulness educator. And that brings me to the present.

Now fully immersed in the wildest trip of parenthood with three young boys, I understand the sea change of motherhood – the demands, the chaos, and the get-through-the-day mentality – because I have lived it. The heavy lift of family life is real. And the effects of supportive spaces, systems, and practices matter. They help to make life work. Even better, knowing your self, your values, and your needs anchors you in calmer waters while mindfulness provides a skillful means for remaining steadier in the inevitable turbulence.

This brings me to you. I now channel my analytical, technical leanings, my teaching experience, and my love of helping people and the environment in a way that more directly impacts people’s lives. I love to work with mothers and families to help them bring order and peace to their homes, gain competency and confidence in their own skills, and create lasting change in their lives.

If you are looking to have more time for yourself and those that you love, create peace of mind, and remove the excess so you can focus on what matters most, let’s talk.

Till soon, be well!

Christine

Christine founded Oh So Simple in 2019. It is her first passion, and her second career.

While organizing and simplicity are paramount to her, Christine’s essential includes her super-husband and three spirited boys. Together, they blaze trails near and far. Other things that fill her bucket are nature, travel, adventure, mindfulness, yoga, chocolate, life unplugged, a clear desk, and open space. She meditates daily and tries to not take herself too seriously.
